Back to Breast Cancer/Radiation

It always saddens me when I am contacted by people that are receiving radiation treatment.  The skin may burn badly and there is this gray area where no one knows what to do to  get relief.  Aromatherapy can help.  In France where the doctors use essential oils on a regular basis, they recommend a mixture of Niaouli oil (same family as tea tree) mixed with either Rosehip oil or St. John’s Wort oil.  The percentage must be correct and you must be sure that the essential oils are a therapeutic grade and not cut.  You spray this oil combination on the skin after the radiation treatment and at bedtime and it has worked wonders, the skin must be clean for the treatment.  The smell is strong but it’s worth it to use this and save your skin.  If there is any oil left over after the treatment you can dilute it further and use it for burns, scar tissue, and general first aid.  Of course, always let your radiologist know what you are using.  I am here to help and will provide as much information as I can.
