As the inhalers gain popularity, people are amazed at how well they work. What happens is that when you inhale the molecules of the essential oils, they travel up into your head and into your respiratory tract and cross the barriers going into the blood stream. Many oils have natural antibacterial, antiviral, and antiseptic qualities so when they enter your blood stream and are carried to your internal organs, they give your internal organs a helping hand and boost your immune system at the same time. If you have a sinus problem that causes headaches, the headache blend will not only stop the headache from coming on, it will also clear your sinus problem naturally, making the intake of medications unnecessary. Sinusitis is very common and inhaling essential oils is one of the best things you can do to clear up the nasal passages. Of course, whenever you inhale essential oils, you are getting an aromatherapy treatment, if you find yourself stressed, tired, feeling unbalanced, an inhaler is great to use because you can keep it in your purse or pocket. My husband has a sinus issue and the other day I made him an inhaler and he can’t believe that something you smell could work so well…so I told him to think of the people that get high smelling different substances and viola! he now gets it!

Back to Breast Cancer/Radiation
It always saddens me when I am contacted by people that are receiving radiation treatment. The skin may burn badly and there is this gray area where no one knows what to do to get relief. Aromatherapy can help. In France where the doctors use essential oils on a regular basis, they recommend a mixture of Niaouli oil (same family as tea tree) mixed with either Rosehip oil or St. John’s Wort oil. The percentage must be correct and you must be sure that the essential oils are a therapeutic grade and not cut. You spray this oil combination on the skin after the radiation treatment and at bedtime and it has worked wonders, the skin must be clean for the treatment. The smell is strong but it’s worth it to use this and save your skin. If there is any oil left over after the treatment you can dilute it further and use it for burns, scar tissue, and general first aid. Of course, always let your radiologist know what you are using. I am here to help and will provide as much information as I can.
More Hand Massages at the Rattlesnake Golf and Country Club
Barb Ptak (my personal reflexologist), and I spent a good part of the day at the lovely Rattlesnake Golf and Country Club giving out hand massages to all of the well deserved administrative staff of Royal LePage in the Oakville, Milton areas. What a great day! We were on the back patio enjoying the weather and the company. People visibly relaxed after a few moments of hand massaging. That’s after a few minutes…can you imagine a 45 minute foot reflexology treatment? We are holding one more Reflexology/Aromatherapy day … June 7th. A full reflexology treatment and custom blended bodyFood product for only $70. It’s a great deal! Some seriously dry hands…so ladies….use gardening gloves! (and bodyFood!)
The Breast Darned Show
On thursday evening, the 17th of May, I spent the evening giving out free hand massages at The Breast Darned Show in the Distillery District in Toronto. It was jammed-packed with people, great entertainment, good food and a loads of great silent auction items. I’m happy to say that the ladies (and a couple of men) loved the lotions and I was happy to be on hand to answer any questions about Aromatherapy that people had. I’ll be there again next year if they let me in!
